Main Street Comics in Milltown has undergone a renovation and expansion project that includes a new storefront.
One of the longest-standing comic shops in New Jersey — has debuted its newly expanded, fully renovated store. After purchasing the dual-business commercial building earlier this year, founder and owner Michael Pfeifer took over the entire building, more than doubling his retail space.
Earlier in July, Pfeifer unveiled the newly remodeled and expanded 2,000-square-foot store. The shop features an impressive 40-foot-long row of custom-made storage units which hold more than 40,000 back issues. Customers will also find an extensive selection of new comics, graphic novels, trade paperbacks, vintage toys, comic supplies and gaming cards, as well as a significantly expanded kids’ section. The project also included a renovation of the exterior — showcasing colorful, comic book themed signage, new lighting, and more.
