Dawn Witzel, director of Nursing at Old Orchard ProMedica, with her mother, Deb Cszasar director of Nursing for 30 years with ProMedica before retiring from the Bethlehem North building. “For a little over 30 years I have had the distinct honor and pleasure to work in the shadows and alongside my fabulous mentor, my mother. In 1991 I started in the health care industry under this wonderful woman’s leadership and it always made me work even harder so no one could ever say I was given favoritism and because I didn’t want to disappoint her. The time has finally come after almost 40 years with the same company that she has decided to ease gracefully into retirement. To say I am proud of her would be an understatement. I have been blessed to have been taught so very much by her over the years and I hope one day the same will be said about me … she made a difference in the lives of so many.”

“It is an honor to be recognized by Forbes as one of the best workplaces for new graduates,” Noel said. “We take great pride in the opportunities to learn and grow that ProMedica offers for individuals entering the health care field. Our leadership team provides the mentoring and training necessary to ensure that new graduates thrive, and feel supported and engaged in their career journey.”

A career at ProMedica Senior Care offers numerous opportunities for career development, and professional and personal growth.

“We have many long-tenured employees, some of whom have been with us for decades,” Noel said. “Fostering employee growth is very important to us and the opportunities at ProMedica Senior Care are tremendous. It’s not uncommon to meet an employee that started with us as a CNA and is now an RN, or joined our company in an entry-level position and today holds a management role. We provide continuing education opportunities and innovative training programs, and work with employees that want to go back to school and further their education.”

ProMedica Senior Care employees enjoy a competitive salary and a range of benefits including signing bonuses, comprehensive health insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid time off, flexible hours, increased shift and weekend differentials, and more. A healthy work-life balance lets employees enjoy their jobs, as well as their personal lives.

Among the non-tangible benefits of a career at ProMedica Senior Care is a dynamic workplace culture built on teamwork and mutual respect. “Employees often tell us they feel like family — there’s a sense of camaraderie that carries through to every level of our organization,” Noel said. “Our team members work hard and share the same work ethic, and that’s part of what makes them so successful.”

What personal characteristics make a good employee at ProMedica Senior Care? “Regardless of what job a candidate is applying for — from an entry-level receptionist to upper management — we are looking for team players that are compassionate, caring  and want the best for our patients and for each other. ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation locations are go-to facilities in the Lehigh Valley; people entrust us to care for their family members and that’s a great honor and one we take seriously. We want our patients to have top-notch quality care — and they already do — but we’re always striving to be even better.”
