Lehigh Valley Hot Air is hosting The Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival at The Slatington Airport Oct. 15-16. This yearly fall hot air balloon festival features 20 colorful balloons. Each night, just after sunset balloons will return to the runway and be lit up to glow like giant lanterns. Some in shapes such as a pumpkin, vampire, and even a 110-foot tall Tasmanian Devil.

New for 2022 the festival will be a live DJ Laser Light Show after sunset followed by fireworks to end each evening.
In addition to balloon flights, lasers and live music, the event will have something for everyone. Offering more than 50 craft vendors, small amusement rides and bounce houses will entertain every brave guest, and a fireworks show will be ready to light up the fall night sky.

Food and drinks won’t be lacking, and festival-goers can expect to find many different vendors on the grounds.

“We’re excited to bring this event back to the Lehigh Valley for a third year. We plan to be a family tradition for many years to come” Festival Producer Jerika Rathje said. “We have something for everyone. We’re so proud of all the great fun things we have to offer and for what we are able to continue to provide to our local community year after year.”

Twice each day, once in the early morning and once just before sunset, guests will get the chance to take a lift through the skies above or just come out to watch the balloons ascend.
