It is time for the 32nd Annual GWACC Chamber of Commerce’s FestiFall in downtown Westfield.
FestiFall began in 1990 and has continued to evolve and grow over the past 33 years. The event this year is sponsored by Lukin Center for Psychotherapy and will be held on Central Avenue running from E. Broad to North Avenue. FestiFall will include the parking lot across from the Post Office as well as the section of Lenox Avenue.
The event is Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. (rain or shine). A fun filled day for all ages, the event will have many diverse food and merchandise vendors. Explore a bustling marketplace featuring unique crafts, artworks, and handmade products from local artisans.
Treat the kids to a day of fun in the Children’s Zone, complete with a selection of rides and bounces. Savor a diverse selection of cuisines at the food court, catering to various palates and preferences. Relax and unwind in the Beer Garden on Lenox Avenue, offering a selection of beers and wines, courtesy of The Crossroads.
It is expected that entertainment will be provided by Valencia Music om Quimby Street and the New Jersey Workshop of the Arts at the corner of Central and Lenox. The Westfield Robotics Club will once again have a demonstration there as well. Be sure to arrive early and stay for the day. GWACC will also be conducting a 50/50 raffle to support the GWACC 501c3 Foundation, which provides scholarships for senior in area high schools. Admission is free. After visiting FestiFall, be sure to take a stroll through town and check out the many different stores.
Central Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning at 6 a.m. from North Avenue to E. Broad Street. Downtown residents on Central Avenue and Lenox are reminded to park in municipal lots, out of the FestiFall area.
Pets, skateboarding, bike riding and roller blading are prohibited in the FestiFall area. This rule is for the safety of attendees of all ages. FestiFall attendees are also encouraged to park in the South Avenue train station parking lot. This will provide the closest parking to the activity area, with easy access to North Avenue through the convenient underpass at the Westfield Train Station.

GWACC (Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce)
For more than 75 years, the GWACC has been connecting commerce and community. The GWACC promotes the economic prosperity of businesses primarily in Clark, Fanwood, Garwood, Mountainside, Scotch Plains and Westfield. It is the largest association of businesses and nonprofits in the area. Members include business owners, professionals, managers and operators. Membership cultivates the opportunity to build relationships, partner, make referrals, increase business and attend networking sessions that support the community.
The GWACC hosts five festivals each year, an inaugural Rock the Block in Clark, Spring Fling and FestiFall in Downtown Westfield and Garwood Rocks and one is Summer FanJam in LaGrande Park in Fanwood, both with a classic car show and stage entertainment. The GWACC monthly networking events — one in the early morning and one directly after work — serve as an opportunity for current members to network with each other regularly and for prospective members to come and see what we’re all about. In addition, the Professional Women in Business Committee, the Young Professionals and the Health and Wellness Alliance organize networking events specifically tailored to those industries and associations.
