The world’s top cyclists will race through Downtown Easton as part of the Easton Twilight Criterium, which informally kicks off the prestigious Tour of Somerville race series.

An estimated 300 racers will compete in eight race categories at the Easton Twilight Criterium, May 28 in Downtown Easton.

The event will cover a challenging .8-mile downtown course featuring five turns with racers from around the world. Spectators can bring chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy the festival-like atmosphere. Or make reservations and dine outdoors at one of the delicious restaurants that line the race route.

Races begin at 3:15 p.m., with the final race leaving the starting line at 7:30 p.m.
