Lucid Law is proud to announce that Amy L. Knapp has joined the firm as Senior Bankruptcy Attorney. With the hiring of Knapp, Lucid Law will expand its footprint in the South Jersey area.

“I have known Amy for years — she is an experienced and knowledgeable bankruptcy lawyer who will be a great benefit for our clients. But more importantly, she truly cares about people and has a long track record of helping those in need, especially in South Jersey,” said Karina Lucid, founder and president.

Knapp, formerly with a Cherry Hill bankruptcy law firm agreed, said she is looking forward to the opportunity.

“I am excited to work with Karina and the Lucid Law team for several reasons. First, we share the same philosophy. It is not about the money; it is about doing right by people. I genuinely care about the well-being of my clients, especially when they are going through difficult times. I know how this is the way Lucid Law does business and it is the perfect platform for me. Second, as I will spend a significant amount of time in South Jersey, I will be able to offer Lucid Law clients another level of convenience and service.”

Knapp focuses on individual and small business bankruptcy and consumer-related law matters, including Chapter 7, Chapter 13, Chapter 11 and Subchapter 5 cases. She also has experience handling other matters that include bankruptcy issues such as real estate, business operations and estate planning. Before becoming a lawyer, Knapp worked in social services, where she assisted homeless individuals and families in transition. The United States Bankruptcy Court has recognized her for the District of New Jersey for her continued dedicated service and volunteerism efforts with the Rutgers University Bankruptcy Pro Bono Project. Knapp has also received accolades from the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders for extending legal services to senior citizens and for her participation in consumer law-related seminars to educate senior citizens on their respective legal rights. Knapp has also been named “One of the Best Individual Bankruptcy Attorneys” by the readers of the Burlington County Times. She received her law degree from Widener University and her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Rowan College. A member of American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), the Camden County Bar Association, and the Burlington County Bar Association, she is admitted to practice before the State Bar of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the State of New Jersey.
