Thousands of car enthusiasts are expected to gather at South Jersey’s premier car show on Sept. 3 in Glassboro.

For 16 years, car lovers and casual admirers have attended the Car Show & Food Truck Festival. The viewing area is being set up downtown and at the Town Square, where an anticipated 5,000 attendees will have the opportunity to view more than 350 vehicles while listening to live music, DJ Pepper Paul 92.1 and the South 47 Band, racing scale slot cars, and enjoying the best food trucks and local cold craft beer.

The family event is free and runs from 5 to 9 p.m. On display will be restored vehicles representing all decades of automotive history as well as exotics, EV’s, and motorcycles. Food vendors will be on site selling food and non-alcoholic beverages. Landmark Americana will host two Beer Gardens. There will be plenty of free parking at the event with signage and parking attendants to direct attendees. The event is rain or shine. “The borough is proud to be such an integral part of South Jersey’s car culture and continuing to host this must-attend event,” said Councilman Andrew Halter. “The grand scale of our car show signifies the importance of showcasing automotive history in a family-friendly atmosphere. We are excited to host this event and the sense of community that events like this bring to Downtown Glassboro.”

Attendees will find an array of vintage domestics and imports and displays from car and motorcycle clubs. The length of Rowan Boulevard and a major portion of Main Street will provide visitors with a historical walk-through of automotive history, with a display of the finest classic and historic vehicles from different eras. The show’s newest features include a giant slot car racing track, local celebrities cars, and designer- wrapped vehicles to show the modern technological advances in the automotive industry. Major sponsors will have VIP welcome areas as well as giveaways such as Goodyear tires, AC Delco items, maintenance, parts, and much more.
